The Fresno County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to take up the Sheriff's budget Tuesday morning, which is facing a $4-million dollar shortfall. Monday night, Fresno County Corrections Officers agreed to $1-million dollars worth of concessions to help fix a budget crunch at the Sheriff's department.

Union members overwhelmingly approved the cuts which include giving up some paid holidays and other concessions. The move is intended to reduce layoffs at the jail and could slow the early release of inmates.
