Cal-Fire authorities say several structures were threatened by the blaze but are now out of danger.
Cal-Fire called in fire engines, helicopters, and air tankers from multiple agencies including firefighters from the Central Valley.
Earlier Saturday evening, fire crews from the Mariposa-Merced and Madera units joined strike teams from Fresno and Tulare counties before heading to the fire lines.
