The health department held the first of several clinics that will be conducted over the next two weeks.
The main focus is getting students shots to protect them from pertussis, or Whooping Cough.
That vaccination is now required by law in California for all students who will enter 7th-through 12th grades in the Fall.
The health department will host clinics Monday through Friday of this week and next week. The shot cost $17.00 per child, but financial assistance is available.
