Veterinarians at the Fresno Pet Hospital who were treating Bones tell Action News that the animal passed away Sunday after a blood transfusion at noon. Bones went into cardiac arrest shortly afterwards.
The dog was found by an animal control officer in Livingston last Saturday.
Vets at the Fresno Pet ER have been working hard to bring Bones back to health all week. But bones succumbed to the months of malnourishment and poor health.
