An attorney for Eugene Drinkhouse has filed a lawsuit against the city seeking $200 thousand in legal fees and costs.
Drinkhouse had been accused of being involved in a number of fraudulent business deals and transactions while he was city manager.
He stepped down in 2009.
The City of Sanger orginally agreed to defend Drinkhouse because the actions were tied to the City Manager position, but city councilmembers later voted against the agreement and stopped paying his legal expenses.
