The U.S. Department of Agriculture is working to make it easier for consumers to compare the costs of conventional and organic produce.
The USDA is developing a weekly report that will track weekly advertised prices of organic fresh produce. Right now those reports are only available to businesses involved with the fresh produce industry.
The report is meant to encourage Americans to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. A specific launch date has not yet been set.
