Pentagon Official Signals Possible Army Layoffs
The Army could lay-off to thousands of servicemen and women. A pentagon official says as many as 24-thousand enlisted personnel and up to 5-thousand officers may be without a job soon because of budget cuts.

Mad Cow disease found in Tulare County cow
The cow, which tested positive for mad cow disease came from a dairy in Tulare County, but the U.S.D.A. is not naming the dairy and likely never will. The diseased cow was discovered at the Baker Commodities rendering plant in Hanford. Federal investigators say the infected animal was never intended to be used for public consumption.

Clovis Marine injured in suicide bombing
A Clovis marine is back home this morning after she was injured by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. Sergeant Maryann Miller, 29, also saved the lives of fellow Marines. She was greeted by family and friends last night. Sergeant Miller received a purple heart for her injuries.

Thunderstorms cause flooding in the South Valley
Wet roads for the morning commute after lightning flashed in the sky and thunder roared during a spring storm last night in the South Valley. Stores, front yards and cars were flooded in Visalia. A number of streets were flooded through out Tulare County.

You can help patients at Valley hospitals get back in the saddle at the Annual Clovis Rodeo Blood Drive. The annual tradition is already underway. Rodeo action begins tonight with bull riding events and American Idol winner David Cook will perform in the arena afterward.
