Tuesday was initially scheduled to be the last day of business for the West Central Fresno ice rink, but the owners announced this evening that they are in talks with a non-profit group that hope to keep the center open. During the negotiations the doors will remain open to skaters and their families.
The rink is also the practice facility for the Fresno Monsters Hockey team. If it shuts down, it could put the team's next season in jeopardy.
