Officers say Gabriel Pulido was injured during an argument at his home on Sierra Vista near Hungtington on July 21. The 58-year-old died at the hospital five days later.
Detectives identified the suspect as 23-year-old Alfredo Gutierrez. They got a warrant for his arrest last month, and Saturday night, a K-9 officer tried to stop a bicyclist near the crime scene. After a short chase and struggle, he arrested the suspect, who turned out to be Gutierrez.
Gutierrez is booked in jail on murder charges.
