The late rapper Tupac Shakur could have had a role in a Star Wars movie.

In an interview with a fan website, the former chief engineer of Tupac's record label Death Row said Tupac auditioned for "Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace."

Tupac was up for the part of Mace Windu. However, the rapper never got that chance, because he was shot and killed in 1996, filming began in 1997. The role eventually went to Samuel L. Jackson.
