Jose Alvarez surprised Erika Mendoza with a sign and a diamond ring as she crossed the finish line.
Mendoza -- who set a personal record in the 13-mile run -- had no idea the marriage proposal was coming. Family and friends were also there, and they got to see her say "yes."
The couple has been together for eight years. Both say they are very excited about this new adventure.
