Several dancers in traditional clothing performed to cultural music at a temple near Fruit and Jensen on Saturday. The festivities also included exhibits about the Laotian journey to America, the New Year Princess parade, and plenty of good food.
Laotian leaders from the community and across the country are at the event helping ring in the year of the horse.
The celebration ran until Saturday night and will continue again on Sunday at 10 a.m. About 5,000 people are expected to attend throughout the weekend.
