Farms and bees may take a hit after recent storms
Unusual weather over the last couple weeks has created challenges for some Central Valley farmers.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Unusual weather over the last couple weeks has created challenges for some Central Valley farmers.

Ryan Jacobsen with the Fresno County Farm Bureau says recent rain and freezing temperatures have had a major impact on crops. He says there are probably going to be fewer peaches, plums, and nectarines this year. He also said the bee industry is taking a big hit.

Jacobsen says from a historical perspective, the almond industry will put up decent numbers. However, he says they do expect it to be down from the last couple of years.
