Fresno police investigate deadly car crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a deadly car crash in north Fresno.

Officers say a Nissan was split in half after hitting a sign pole just after one Saturday morning. The driver was ejected and died at the scene near Blackstone and Barstow Avenues. Moments before the crash, witnesses saw the car running red lights and speeding.

It also took out a bus stop and the traffic signal at Auto Center Drive, which was replaced by a temporary light.

It's unknown at this point if alcohol was a factor.
