2 escape burning home in Caruthers
Two people escaped a house fire in Caruthers on Friday afternoon.

CARUTHERS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people escaped a house fire in Caruthers on Friday afternoon.

Fresno County fire crews responded to a home on Caruthers Avenue just after 3 p.m. Crews managed to put the attic fire out in 30 minutes. They also saved some furniture and personal belongings.

The two people inside got out of the house without injury.

Fire officials say the cause was an electrical problem in the attic. The damage is estimated at more than $100,000.
