CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A five-year-old inspired after seeing a picture of a young cancer patient who had lost her hair has sparked a touching movement.

A pink, glittery carpet welcomed a group of 15 girls to a Clovis hair salon Thursday afternoon. The little girls made their grand entrance in matching shirts and received a celebrity welcome for the big gesture they were there for.

Owner, the Dandelion Salon said, "For them to be selfless and cutting their hair for someone without it is great for us to see at such a young age."

Anna is the tiny mastermind who led the way for this big donation - cutting off nearly ten inches of her own hair for "Children with Hair Loss." The non-profit organization provides hair to children around the country who need it for free.

Pilar Garcia said, "I'm excited, I'm proud for all moms and kids. They are really happy doing this."

After Anna told her mother she wanted to grow her hair out to donate it, word spread on Facebook about her mission. Each donation needs to be a minimum of eight inches. But some cut even more than that.

Some of the girls who donated, had never undergone the salon experience before, and enjoyed being pampered.

The owner of the Dandelion Salon provided the cuts for free after reading about their mission online, and even turned her business into a princess' paradise.

Jenny said, "I wanted to make sure they had a good experience especially with something as serious as cutting their hair."

Most of the young girls we spoke to, say this is something they plan on doing again. And hope this will influence others to do the same.

Pilar added, "When beautiful hearts get together. Beautiful things happen."
