CLOVIS, Calif. -- More than ten-thousand people are expected to turn out in Clovis, and support the local police department, for Clovis Night Out.

The sixth annual event brings community members together at Sierra Meadows Park with local authorities. The police department offers free bounce houses, live music, 120 vendors and even a fireworks show. They say it's to show the community how much they care.

"The community of Clovis is amazing. They've always been supportive, but over the last year we've seen things happen throughout the state and the country that have fractured that relationship a little bit. And so this is why we do it, to show people we're all normal people," said Sgt. Jim Munro, Clovis Police Department.

In addition to members of the police department, the bomb squad, swat team, and the Clovis Fire Department were in attendance to show off their emergency vehicles.
