Local organization hosts supportive services event for Valley veterans

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Mid Cal Veterans Engagement Board hosted a community outreach for Central Valley Veterans in Downtown Fresno.

The event was designed to help local vets get connected with supportive services while also helping them transition back to civilian life.

Vendors were there to help with homelessness and substance abuse.

There was also information on how to navigate through the services provided by the county, state and private companies.
