Dancing with the Stars' Artem Chigvintsev visits Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno put on its dancing shoes Friday night. One of the professionals on "Dancing with the Stars," Artem Chigvintsev, came to the Valley to teach a short class.

Artem took a break from rehearsals for the season finale to support his friends' new dance studio on Bullard Avenue and First Street. Step 2 Dance held a showcase giving students a chance to show off all they've learned over the last six months.

Action News asked Artem about his experience on Dancing with the Stars and having Miss Patti Labelle as a partner this season.

"This season I had Patti Label which was very interesting partnership because she was a lot more than I expected her to be. Because obviously Patti is 70 years young -- as she would say. I didn't have too high of expectations for her but she exceeded all of them and she taught me a few lessons in life -- and she's gonna be a long time friend after this, for sure, said Chigvintsev.
