Fuel spill closes northbound Highway 99 on-ramp at North Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A diesel fuel spill kept firefighters and California Highway Patrol officers busy Friday night.

Investigators say a FedEx truck began leaking diesel fuel from its tank. The CHP believes a rock or some other road debris punctured the tank.

The northbound Highway 99 on-ramp at North Avenue in Fresno County was closed as crews threw dirt down to absorb the 50-gallon spill.
