Silver Alert issued for missing man near Pine Flat Lake

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are looking for 77-year-old Air Force Veteran Donald Thomas who was last seen at his Fresno County home on Trimmer Springs Road and Sunnyslope Road near Pine Flat Lake on Sunday night.

Thomas' home is on Trimmer Springs Road and Sunnyslope Road in Sanger. Deputies believe he went for a walk and got lost.

Thomas is described as being white, 5'5" with a thin build and brown eyes. He has brownish-gray hair and is partially bald. He was last seen wearing a white shirt that says "Pine Flat Lake Marina", blue and white swim trunks and brown shoes. Although Thomas wears glasses, he did not take them with him.

An active search and rescue effort is now underway to find him. Mr. Thomas does not have his wallet or cell phone with him. He suffers from a health condition and he does not have his medication with him.
