Coalinga teen dies while in custody after medical issue, authorities say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Deputies are identified a teenage girl who died while in custody this weekend.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says 16-year-old Bryana Terriquez was having medical issues Saturday night.

She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Investigators are now waiting for the results of toxicology tests to figure out why she died.

Terriquez was in custody for violating probation.
