FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno High School unveiled a new addition to the varsity baseball field. It's a new scoreboard with the names of 13 former players.

All of them graduated from Fresno High and went on to play in the major leagues. Two of them made it to the Hall of Fame.

A handful of the guys were at the dedication Tuesday afternoon, including Dick Ellsworth, who played for the Chicago Cubs. He says the scoreboard brings back memories and he hopes it'll inspire the students.

"We want to carry on that tradition. We want the kids to understand the heritage that Fresno High School has, the pride that we have when we walk away from this campus," said Ellsworth.

Fresno High's varsity team took to the field after the dedication. Ellsworth threw out the first ceremonial pitch. He says it's the first pitch he's thrown in 15 years.
