FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A taco truck owners life was celebrated Saturday night, Adrian Loza died two weeks ago after he was hit by a train.

Loza found his way to the hearts of many through his passion for food, his charisma fueled the family business and without him, a night at Gazebo Gardens is tough for his family, friends and his sister Bianca. "It's a tragedy what happened," Bianca said. "But it helps us in our mourning and our grief just to see the people supporting us, and that they're just as affected as we are."

Loza's taco truck had the longest line with his pictures standing next the trophies he was so proud of. "Loving, heartfelt, everything he did, he gave -- just really cool cat," friend Brian Guerrero said. "He's not dead. His memory will live on within our hearts, within his food that he served to everybody and we'll never forget that."

This night was certainly celebrated the way Loza would have done it with people serving food, wearing green bandanas and Ninja Turtle t-shirts, just like he used to.

"It's going to be, you know, even when sometimes he's not scheduled to be here," friend Reyes Chacon said. "I'll ask her, is he going to be here? So, now it's going to be really hard because we know he's not going to be here."

His life was cut short in a tragic accident with a train, but his spirit lives on through the food he loved to make.

"I told my mom, we need to continue for him cause that's what he worked for," Bianca said. "That's what he strived for, so we have to continue for him."

Friends have been raising money to help Loza's family, donating a portion of the proceeds. Gazebo Gardens will also be pitching in to help.
