Highway 101 set to reopen

Santa Barbara County officials have confirmed that Highway 101 will be back open to traffic beginning Monday morning.

The highway is now cleared of mud, more than a week since the deadly mudslides closed the freeway.

Workers are now on site clearing drainage areas, stabilizing embankments and working on guardrail repairs.
