VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Part of Highway 198 was closed for several hours in the South Valley on Saturday after a vehicle crashed into a power pole.
An SUV sheered the bottom half of the pole on Road 152 and Mineral King Avenue in Visalia. The impact knocked power lines onto nearby Highway 198.
The California Highway Patrol shut down all westbound lanes for about two hours, which caused traffic to back up in the area, but they have all since been reopened.
