FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Avenal's Jose Ramirez will fight this Saturday night in Lemoore when he headlines a boxing card at Tachi Palace. The undefeated boxer will put his WBC Continental Americas belt on the line and he'll have Top Rank trainer Freddie Roach in his corner once again.

Ramirez won his last fight by unanimous decision as part of the undercard at the Mayweather-Bradley III bout in Las Vegas back in April. Ramirez schedules 1-2 Central Valley fights per year and he told Action News he's anxious to fight in from of a sold out crowd of 2,000+ because he missed a previous fight in Lemoore due to a hand injury. Ramirez suffered a broken bone in his hand last September.

"That means a lot to me, I'm very motivated for them. At the end of the day, the ring is the same size and it's just me and my opponent. And it's always nice to see the venues that I fight here in the valley sell out. And even though Tachi is a smaller venue, I'm very excited to fight just because last year I told them I was going to fight and I got injured and I promised them I was going to fight." Said Ramirez

"He's great for Pay-Per-View, we have so many PPV fighters nowadays and he's a future PPV star. Without a doubt." Added Roach.
