MEZCAL TASTING
Mezcal tasting at Fulton 55 was held to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association.
Donors got to learn about the disease and drink the agave alcohol that's similar to tequila -- in fact, tequila is one kind of mezcal.
Alzheimer's is the 5th leading cause of death in California.
ALZHEIMER'S CAREGIVER & WELLNESS CONFERENCE IN SPANISH
More than 92,000 Latinos in California have Alzheimer's.
Latinos are 1.5 times more likely to have the disease compared to non-Latinos.
This event helped bring health experts and caregivers together. It was held at Fresno State on June 4th.
