FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of people are celebrating the life of a woman who has made a lasting impact in Fresno.
The Marjaree Mason Center held a Mardi Gras themed birthday bash in honor of its namesake Saturday in Clovis.
The center was founded in 1979 after Mason's tragic death. It now provides a domestic violence shelter along with support services, including education for victims and youth. Some of Mason's family members attended the event.
It featured a dinner, live and silent auctions, and music by The Valley Cats.
Action News anchor Liz Harrison served as the emcee for the evening and ABC30 was a proud supporter.
