Manhunt underway for escaped Atwater penitentiary inmate

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Federal investigators are searching for 47-year-old Eric Pree after escaping from a U.S. Penitentiary in Atwater.

He was discovered missing Sunday morning around 10 a.m. Pree was currently serving a sentence of a little more than eight years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud.

Details on how Pree escaped have yet to be released.
