UC Merced welcomes thousands of incoming freshmen

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The residence halls at UC Merced are filling up with first-year students Saturday with possibly the largest incoming class they've ever had.

More than 2,000 UC Merced students are moving onto campus just a few days ahead of the first day of classes.

That's out of the roughly 7,000 students enrolled at UC Merced this year.

Classes for everyone start on Wednesday.
