FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities in the South Valley are asking for tips from the public after a home-invasion robbery.

Porterville police say residents on School Avenue near York Street heard a knock on their door Wednesday night. They opened it to find a suspect in a ski mask pointing a gun at them. The victims ran into a bedroom, locked themselves in a closet and called 911.

Other witnesses in the area then spotted two to three people run out of the home with electronics and drive away in a small sedan.

The victims were not hurt.
