Corcoran man, 20, accused of pretending to be 15 and molesting girl, 12

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Corcoran man is behind bars for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl.

Corcoran police say Arturo Martin Hernandez, 20, reportedly pretended to be 15 years old while dating the girl this month. The girl's family later learned the suspect's true age and that he had sex with her, according to investigators.

Authorities say Hernandez is married and has a 1-year-old child.

Hernandez was arrested at his home on Friday and was booked into the Kings County Jail on $300,000 bail. He faces charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old.
