PARLIER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Donations are pouring in for a Parlier teenager pushing for custody of her two younger sisters after their mother suddenly died last week.

Parlier Police Chief David Cerda helped Zenaida Benito open a fundraising bank account to cover funeral costs for her mother, and raise her sisters -- 14-year-old Yobana and five- month-old Abrielle. Since our story aired Wednesday night, a GoFundMe page has raised more than $8,500.

Chief Cerda says people are also dropping off food, diapers, baby wipes, as well as cash for Benito. Tuolumne Village has even offered the family an apartment.
