Family of murdered Merced bouncer pleads for answers
Loved ones are making another plea for justice in the murder of a former bouncer in Merced.

MERCED, Calif. (KFSN) -- Loved ones are making another plea for justice in the murder of a former bouncer in Merced.

Dozens of people took part in a vigil and march in honor of Ishmael Escalante on Saturday. They also hung posters and handed out flyers. The 24-year-old was shot and killed in December of last year outside the now closed "La Hacienda" bar where he once worked.

Family members say the past six months have been agonizing as they wait for answers about his murder. They're now offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
