Fiery big rig crash kills 1 in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery big rig crash that killed one person in Fresno County on Sunday morning.

A viewer captured cellphone video of the scene on Highway 41 at Harlan Avenue; that's east of Riverdale. Officers say the tanker truck somehow flipped over and burst into flames just before 5 a.m. The driver died at the scene.

A four-door car was also involved in the crash, and one other person was taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

It took crews several hours to remove the charred wreckage.
