Fire breaks out in Kern County, precautionary evacuations ordered

GLENVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Cedar Fire broke out in Kern County late Tuesday afternoon, 10 miles east of Glenville. The fire has so far spread to 450 acres as of this report.

Precautionary evacuations have been ordered and portions of Highway 90 and highway 155 are closed.

We've also learned the Visalia Fire Department has sent a strike team to help.

There is no containment on this fire as of yet.
