FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Car enthusiasts headed to Downtown Fresno for the annual Central California Auto Show.

Hundreds of vehicles, including the Jaguar F-Type, are causing many to stop and stare. But some event goers are on a mission to learn about the latest automobile trends.

Bob and Carol Dimascio are on the hunt for their next hybrid and were able to see plenty of options at the convention center.

The new Ford F-150 is on the floor. The proto-type isn't at any local dealership, just at the show. The aluminum sided truck is said to be lighter and more fuel efficient.

Experts say consumers are also looking for the latest technology. Some makers like Chevrolet have 4G LTE WiFi in their new models, so you can stay connected anywhere you go. Auto makers are also focusing on safety.

GM spokesperson Shad Balch said, "A lot of new safety technologies are on these vehicles like forward collision alert. There are technologies in Cadillac that keep you in your lane so when you start to veer you the car actually comes back for you."

Smart technology that's going a long way.

For many at the car show, they enjoyed drooling over their dream cars. The Mercedes C63 S got its fair share of admirers. The price tag, just $160,000 if you want to drive this ride.

From luxury to economical, there's something for everyone at the Central California Auto Show.

The auto show runs through Sunday and is free to the public.
