Man dead after being struck by car in Visalia

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are still investigating a traffic accident that left one person dead Saturday night.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. near the Tulare County Courthouse near Mooney Boulevard and Burrel Avenue. The victim was apparently crossing the street when he was hit by an oncoming car.

The exact circumstances behind the accident have yet to be released by authorities but police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
