Man killed in Visalia shooting

Visalia Police have confirmed that one person has been shot and killed in the area of Vassar Drive and Burke Court.

Visalia Police said just after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday they received a 911 call from a woman who said someone had been shot inside the home. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound and the woman had other injuries.

Both the man and the woman were taken to the hospital. The man later died from his injuries. Police would not say how the woman was injured, but they did say she had not been shot.

Investigators said the couple was in a relationship and lived at the home together. They also said they had responded to the home on prior occasions.
