SAN FRANCISCO (KFSN) -- Officials in San Francisco are fed up with people urinating in public, and now they're trying a unique solution.

The city is testing a new type of paint that can give back what it receives. It's a water-repellent coating, which is so strong that liquid bounces back toward its source.

The public works department is planning to test it on up to 10 walls and evaluate the effectiveness.

A similar material has been used successfully in Germany.
