FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a double shooting in Southwest Fresno. They say a man and a woman were both struck by bullets near Pottle Avenue and Merced Street around 2 p.m. Saturday.
First responders carried the victims to separate ambulances, which rushed them to a local hospital. A sergeant at the scene told Action News that one person was in serious condition and the other appeared to be doing OK. Investigators suspect the shooting may be gang-related.
"We have no suspect information at this point. We believe a vehicle was involved, possibly a drive by," said Fresno Police Sgt. John Romo.
Investigators say they do not have a description of the suspect's vehicle, but they're hoping to get more information from the victims and witnesses.
