FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Kenneth Jackson and Alice Waterman were found guilty of setting 21-fires in the Yosemite Lakes Park area late last summer. They were set to be sentenced on Friday, but now their defense attorney is asking for a new trial.

The judge in the case will make a decision on the request three weeks from now. If the judge rules against a new trial, Jackson and Waterman will be sentenced sometime in August.
