Porterville PD arrest woman for threatening employee with deadly weapon

Authorities say 28-year-old Makhi Thompson entered a local business on South E Street at around 7:30 p.m.

According to officials, Thompson refused to leave and started swinging a large aluminum pipe at one of the employees after police arrived.

That employee, fortunately, was not injured. Thompson was taken to the Tulare County Jail.

Her bail is set at $60,000.
