FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The holiday rush is on at Fresno business Make Pie Not War.
Owner of Make Pie Not War, Alana Little, said, "Our web activity is usually pretty strong, but during Black Friday people are in the holiday groove and when you offer a sale it explodes a little bit."
Little said she posted sales before Thanksgiving and customers put in more than 100 orders for custom jewelry.
"It means I'm not going to sleep that much. It means I'm Going to go into production overdrive."
Little makes the jewelry by hand and ships it all over the U.S. and the world.
"The farthest someone ordered was, we got a wholesale order form Saudi Arabia which is really exciting."
Artist Natasha Holland saw an uptick in business. She was able to sell twice as many watercolors as she last year.
Basilwood Farm, which makes all-natural beauty products saw a boom too. Their goat's milk soap and beauty products were in high demand. Sales have increased 70-percent this year.
Over at Keep Life Simple Designs in Fresno, employees are busy making mats and more.
Alex Register, the owner of Keep Life Simple Designs, said, "This has been the best year yet as far as Black Friday. It's normally not too crazy for us but we brought in about 150 orders this year which was crazy. It's crazy, its nuts so we are working extra hard."
Register offered a 15-percent discount during the Black Friday weekend. Customers bought everything from wedding favors and personal hats.
"It's cool to know so many people are buying and displaying the items I'm making for them."
They will be sent to homes across the world and the United States.
Local businesses say now is the time to order to get that personal gift, that way it arrives before Christmas.
