CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new Clovis business is celebrating their grand opening Thursday as they aim to create stronger friendships among local kids. For Kymberly Macagy pouring tea is an art form and the best way to make meaningful connections.

"Even though we have a virtual age-- very electronic-- it can be nice just to sit down with a cup of tea and some friends and just talk together."

Teacups and Teddy Bears is a business Macagy started in Florida and has brought princesses together for over five years. She was decided to continuing her business when she moved to Clovis.

"We just found that people really enjoyed the opportunity to have a tea party they really didn't have to plan themselves. They didn't have to have any expertise in how to do tea," said Macagy.

For a few hundred dollars Macagy and her team bring unique and mobile birthday parties directly to local homes.

"We have our princess parties, which are the most popular tea parties, where the girls get to dress up in princess gowns and the girls get to have tea together."

They do all the work by bringing special china, princess gowns, and even handle the invitations.

"We also have create-a-bear parties where you can choose an animal. We have bears, dragons," said Macagy.

Her ultimate hope is for the growing company to bring people of all ages together every day of the week.

"We're hoping within the year to be ready to open our own shop. It'll be primarily devoted to children's parties, but during the week we'll also have regular tea for adults or bring your granddaughter," said Macagy.

Even when she opens her Clovis store they'll still have mobile parties. So princesses across the Valley can socialize with their closest friends.
