Madera spa raises money, awareness for clean water
A North Valley salon is taking steps to bring attention to the drought and help those struggling with water.

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- The ongoing drought in California has many residents looking at ways to conserve. A North Valley salon is taking steps to bring attention to the drought and help those struggling with water.

Tress Salon and Spa will participate in a 24-hour global cut-a-thon and appointments for clean water on Monday to raise funds for clean water projects here in California and to raise awareness about water issues in Madera and throughout California.

Local charity, "Clean Water Fund," will receive 100% of the proceeds from the event. Guests may come out to enjoy a $20 service, with all proceeds going to the clean water fund, or they can simply come out to get more information on the drought and saving water from City of Madera officials, who will be on hand to answer questions, provide information, and supply a limited number of water conservation kits.
