Visalia man arrested for shining laser at CHP helicopter

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A South Valley man is facing charges after pointing a laser at a police helicopter.

Visalia police arrested Eric Chandler at a home on Zachary near Modoc Thursday night. It comes after officers with the California Highway Patrol notified police after they said someone shined a green laser at their helicopter while flying over the city on March 18th.

Chandler admitted to the crime and officers took him into custody.
