Unity for Change

The move towards unity in the Democratic party has spread from New Hampshire to the central valley. A few dozen people came out for the "Unity for Change" event in northwest Fresno Saturday afternoon.

The idea is to get Barack Obama supporters on the same page as people who voted for other candidates in the primaries. John Friedrich, Obama Delegate, says "Obviously, Barack Obama with Hillary Clinton supporters since they had a long primary, but also with people who just want to change the direction of the country: change in Iraq, change in health care policy, change in the economy."

The unity movement started yesterday for the democrats, when Obama and Clinton took the state together as teammates for the first time. They rallied together in the town of Unity, New Hampshire.
