Mike Speck and his new wife dawn decided to get married on 8-8-08 for good luck.
Mike was getting ready for a pre-wedding party when he was zapped by a nearby lightning strike.
Speck was stunned and shaken, but still alive. The bolt of lightning hit his neighbor's house, and Mike even helped put out the flames with a garden hose.
Despite the super-charged drama, the wedding went just fine.
